The Trials of Chelsea
Dan Pearson has a new article in the Daily Telegraph about his experiences in creating a garden for the Chelsea Flower Show
My idea was inspired by a drive I made this time last year through a newly unfurled beech wood. The light was incandescent lime-green as it fell through the branches; I was transported. I wanted people to be able to stand at the side of our garden and to be similarly moved. A lot to ask of 23 metres by 10 metres at the Chelsea showground perhaps, but definitely worth striving for.
Note: For those who don't know, Chelsea is the pre-eminent flower show in the UK.
